Mahama nominates Muntaka for Interior, Omane Boamah for Defence and Ablakwa for Foreign Affairs

President John Dramani Mahama submitted a third list of ministerial and regional ministerial nominees to Parliament for prior approval, continuing the formation of his government.

The names, delivered through the Speaker of Parliament on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, include individuals expected to serve as Ministers of State and Regional Ministers across various sectors and regions.

Former Minister for Communications Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah has been nominated as the Minister-Designate for Defence and the Member of Parliament for Asawase, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak has been designated to the Minister of Interior.

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, is going to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs while the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George has been nominated for the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations.
